    Army basic training graduation

My family just attended my son’s graduation today and the family day ceremony yesterday here in Ft Jackson in South Carolina. To say I was moved by the proud looks on all the young men and young women’s faces for all they’ve accomplished over the last few months would be an understatement. I’m so proud of all those young soldiers.

Congratulations! Please thank him for his service. Had the same feelings when my son graduated his boot camp with the USCG.

Congratulations to the new soldier. A life changing experience for sure.

As life goes on for him he may forget his first kiss or his first school teacher, BUT..he will never forget his DI'S name.

I remember mine and I completed basic in 1967.

Congratulations to him. Definitely a proud moment for your family. My son also completed his basic couple months ago and is at USAFA. Can’t wait to have him home in little over two weeks after finals for Christmas.

Congrats to your son. Know how he feels. Graduated basic at Ft Jackson 49 years ago. Made the entire company empty our duffels, supposedly looking for stolen bayonets. Of course there were none, just one last dig before shipping to AIT. They still do this?????

We went to my son's Navy Graduation. Those graduations should be seen at least once by all Americans. It was one of my most memorable experiences of my life. Really makes one proud to be an American. Congratulations to you and your son!
