I primarily use the BB1 for cranking but if the winds really whipping and I’m going to live and die with a cranking stick in my hand I will use a Daiwa Zillion SV TWS. I have quite a few of them for different techniques and they actually handle a light plug on a windy day with less issues (although less distance in the high wind). Worth a look, very nice reel.

Abu winch. I’ve got 2 and they are solid reels.

KVD now uses Lew's reels. He can use any reel he wants, but he chooses Lew's Good enough for him, good enough for you.

BB1 is a very nice cranking reel. Used to use one, but now I use a Curado 200 E5.

I still have several Curado E series that I find myself using a lot for cranking but I've also got a couple of setups with the 7.1:1 Curado K and it has performed very well for cranks all the way up to 8XD. I like to use a 5.1:1 for 10XD's though.

I use a Super Duty for 8 and 10xd's, and like it. For big swimbaits I use the Tranx. I think it'd be good for the big cranks too. All those are in the 5:1 range. Anything 6xd or below I use Zillion SV TV Crazy Cranker 5:1 from Tackle Trap. They change the gears out. Smoothest reel I own. I could not imagine a better cranking reel.
