Shimano green Curado 3.8:1, yes 3.8:1
Effortless with a DD22 or 10XD
I’ve had my Daiwa 4:9 baitcaster for 4 years now, cast and reel Ike a brand new one. Great for those 20+ crankbaits.
I like all my winches but the Gen1’s do the best in my opinion..
Acquired a bunch BB1’s but they aren’t Lews.. Can’t remember the name but pretty sure they have BPS box.. They seem to work well..

Abu Revo Winch. Great reel.
I’ve used Shimano since 1980. I’ve tried several other brands through out the years and I’ll just stay Shimano.

I just received the 4.9:1
looks great and feels even better. I hope it's just the ticket for big spinner baits, big cranks, and medium glide baits..
Price is sure right !!

I would say you are right, he would use zebco if they paid him enough. I will say on Lews reels I have about equal amounts Lews tx pro reels and Shimano reels, mostly curados and a chronarc. My two most used are a Lews pro g and a curado 70, they get equal use and have held up the same. I would hate to choose between them for a best reel.

Like you, I have stuck with Shimano Bantams from the start, and still have the old 1s in my collection.
Now, I run 7-SuperSpeed Fightin Star set ups and 9-BlackMagnum Fightin Star set ups on 6'-7'6" rods mostly Abu Garcia.
BTW, I run 4-Shimano TX Q/S series Fightin Drag II for spinning reels.
For the bigger baits, a larger spool is better. I like the revo NACL/ inshore. It's a saltwater series but casts bigger cranks great. It's also very light, just a wider spool. For even bigger baits the revo toro beast. But it's a big heavy reel, great for large swimbaits. I like it better than the slightly lighter Calcutta's as it palms much better.
Curado K for me.
