    First harvested animal

My 11 year old shot his first squirrel this weekend. I was so proud of him. He has shown some interest in the past but nothing like this year. We went Saturday but it was misty rain and really windy. Went yesterday afternoon hoping they were moving better. We sat under a big oak for about 15 minutes when a big male came by. His 410 made quick work. We saw 3-4 others but couldn't get close enough for a shot. He is learning to be patient and move as silently as possible. Lessons that will carry over to all hunting.

I think he is hooked for life now. First thing this morning asked if we were going again next weekend

Watching dad wasn’t that hard lol. He has seen me clean a few animals so that wasn’t a big deal. I told him to pay attention because I wasn’t doing to many more for him.
