Well, inside is pretty much done. Just need one thru hull and then put in bilge pump. Outside is pretty much all glassed so now it’s off to the auto body shop where I have access to a paint booth and a few top notch body men to help with a coat of bondo and to make sure she is straight as an arrow before we shoot the gel coat. Can’t wait to get her outside so I can blow her off, killing me seeing her this dirty. Now to get her out the door, it’s a 4 foot drop.

Looking good. It's good to see a champion boat fixed and kept on the water. They are good boats and is a shame like other boat brands get gobbled up and taken out of production. A big reason I'm Hanging onto my stratos.

You can't get a transom straight without an air file. I have a Hutch Hustler, tried cheaper ones but they kept breaking. Your boat is looking good.

Duratec VE primer does not sand as easy as single stage primer / fillers. But a bit of millage will guarantee your work is waterproof. It is the only primer I use.

My first time using it, so far so good. You’ve been a big help and very good advice.

The attitude is, this project of yours is a instance not a pattern. You only have to fix it right, once. I'm always glad to help. It's killing me to keep walking around mine to work on the Blazer. I read Bass Cat may do a 18ft Hybrid on a Texas Forum page. I will never sell my boats but will have to give the Hybrid a try.

Getting there slowly.... Gray is complete, blue flake is sprayed and now needs to be wet sanded and buffed.

Nothing feels as good as forward progress. It looks good. Are you going to cut level and shoot more clear? I usually add another Clear gel session using lots of Duratec 50/50 mix. It polishes out crazy shiny. Also you can spray almost peel free. Not much cutting to polish.

Thanks rojoguio. I am going to cut it and see if I should spray more clear. I have a lot of clear on top of the flake now so I may be good but I do have plenty of extra clear and Duratec left over which is not good as the gears upstairs are already turning as what else can I do in blue flake............. Up stairs tub is fiberglass and boring white.

I agree. I have an 89 20 SCR that I am doing a complete rebuild on. Gonna be sweet seeing it all done...but alas, I am still on the tear down so it is a ways off.
