Is Lewisville a good bass fishing lake?
John
Lewisville is fair, more of a party lake, Ray Roberts is better I think just to the north. But you have many lakes within 2-3hr drive.
There are several good lakes within about a 1 hr drive from Richardson. Yes, Lewisville is one of them. Send me a pm if you do move down here. I might be able to help out.
Joe Pool, Grapevine, Ray Hubbard, Lake Arlington, Lake Tawakoni - ALL about an hour radius from Richardson
And of course Sam Rayburn. Everyone goes there.

I just got home from one of the nearby lakes. Caught 15 or so with my best 5 going just shy of 20#. That doesn't include the 7# blue that ate my soft plastic. Lol
Are they all deep water reservoirs or are some shallow water lakes?
John
There are a few 100'+ lakes, but mostly 60' or less in the immediate area. Average size is around 25k acres.
Thank you
John
There’s 25 lakes within 100 miles of Richardson. I would guess that there are 15 lake inside of An hour drive. Lewisville, Lavon, Ray Hubbard, Ray Roberts, Texoma, Bonham, Crockett, Coffee Mill, Grapevine to name a few. Expand the zone to 2hr drive and you get some great bass fishing lakes: Fork, Athens, Bob Sandlin, Cypress Springs, Cedar Creek, Palestine, Welsh, Lake O the Pines, Squaw Creek, Eagle Mountain, Bridgeport. We are very lucky to have so many great bass lakes close by. A couple of that list are power plant lakes, which means 70+ degree water in the winter months.
if you move here there’s plenty of Bass Clubs to join if you want to get acclimated to tournament fishing and getting with guys that like to have fun and help you.
