    Happy Duck Eve to all

Well our season, Louisiana east zone, opens tomorrow and even this old crank is ready and excited. The artic front of several weeks back brought a good numbers of birds through our area. Unfortunately, most have since departed. So how goes it in other parts of our great country?

Been pretty sorry here in the San Juaquin Valley since the opening week. Weather in the 70s to 80s. Bird averages have been less than .5 birds per shooter on most of the public areas. We're supposed to get some weather next week... we'll see.

We had a 4 day opener. Hunted 3/4 days. Killed 10 ducks. Mallards, gadwall, and woodies.
