    Power Pole Micro Anchor

Anyone using this? I know this will not void my warranty on my Rt188 BUT will it hold my boat?
It seems like it is well built and quality.... BUT will it do the job? any input appreciated.

I have one on my 14' Lowe jon boat. Works great.
Not sure how well it would work or your heavier boat though.

got one on my jon boat.
it holds the boat on the spot no issues.
sometimes one of the fishing partners will hit it with a bait.
seen a boat this summer believe it was a rt188 with 2 on the back

I had dual micros at one point on my 14’ jon boat. They are nice when you have absolutely nothing else to use as an anchor. I’d invest into actual power poles or talons over the micro. I now run dual talons on my rt188.

X2, they work great on a small boat; however, the downside, based on my experience, is that you have to have the spike stored somewhere in your boat until you are ready to use it and it can be an obstacle for the guy in the back. We use it primarily when flipping pads and weed beds. Wouldn't recommend it if you are casting, etc...

A guy in the club has one on his older glass ranger and it works, so for a aluminum I think it should work.

Bought one for my 16 ft. tin. Tried it on the RT188 and you cannot turn your motor enough without hitting the bracket. Did not want to drill any holes to use it.

Thanks for the input guys... I decided NOT to get any power poles right now. I'll wait and fish to see if I really need that big of an investment. < Thanks again.

Many kayak guys have made manual Stick Poles. I imagine you could try a stick anchor or two. Not as quick and convenient, but the boat ought to be held as well as the $600.00 Mini Pole.
