Watched as someone tied down their mattress by running the rope thru the windows and then have a flash of brilliance when they were done.
Passed a car on our local 2-lane many years ago with a mattress on their roof - they were going about 35 mph; driver doing the one-handed Superman hold, the teenage-ish son was sitting on the passenger window sill, legs in the car, chest and arms holding down that mattress with all his might. I don't even remember seeing any rope involved.

I had a friend that almost got killed by someone being irresponsible and not securing a mattress.....He hit it on a motorcycle on 696 which is one of the busiest HWYs in Detroit..He missed alot of work after that incident...People should be held more liable and prosecuted..
