    Steering hose length, `02 Cougar Silhouette

    Have to replace cylinder, want to run both hoses thru starboard side. Whats the proper length? Thanks

    I went with 16' hoses when I replaced the cables on my '95 P2. I probably could have gotten by with 14' as there is slack tucked away in several places.

    Measure center of the steering wheel to the gunnel, steering wheel to the transom, gunnel to the center of the transom...add them up then add 2 feet.
