Squirrels around here are really fat???

I have seen quite a few squirrels around my house and boy they are real fat.Does that mean it’s going to be a hard winter or is that just an old wives tale???

They look fat because of they’re thicker winter coat.
No one can be wrong that often so it has to be deliberate.

The lady down the street has been giving them peanuts and they have been burying them in my mulch in the front of my house for at least a month or more.

Does he lay there and wait for them to run across his head? That beast can’t be very fast, right?

He (Nero) actually loves to hear the the hammer on the 410 get cocked back. He can be sound asleep or eating. Once he hears the click he goes into full alert and then after he hears the shot he is in full search mode. Then he will finish off the squirrel and gives it a proper burial somewhere in the yard after we play a game of chase

Husky. Squirrels prefer the term, "Husky". - probably a good nut year - I know hickory trees have a cycle, I'm sure other trees do as well. With that said, I know the squirrels in our yard have been eating non-stop for 12 hours a day.
