Turkey time soon whats your favorite?

    I got a couple questions
    1 To brine or not
    2 Whats your favorite brine
3 How do like your turkeys cooked?
This should cover a lot of questions to be asked
Myself i love turkey and mostly the dark meat and i liked it cooked all ways just as long as its not over cooked!! But at thanksgiving i've done them many different ways but to me there's something about doing them in the oven that brings memories of that amazing smell going through the house that makes you even more hungry by the second LOL

Indirect on the Weber kettle with nothing but salt pepper and paprika. 25 briquettes each side. Add eight in an hour. Amazing

I cooked one Sunday. I did not brine it, since the only turkey I could get my hands on had a 9% solution already injected into it. I took a pound of butter and seasoned it with some herbs and rubbed it down, under the skin and on top. Put it on the egg at 350* with a small piece of cherry wood and let her go. It was perfect.

Best brined Turkey you’ll ever eat.

Used this recipe for close to 15 years. It’s not smoked, but cooked at about 350. I’ve cooked it on a gas grill, a Weber kettle, and a BGE. I don’t recommend a gas grill. The kettle or Egg makes it easy.
