Most minor league players are there to provide someone to play with for the few that are going to the majors.

Minor league baseball is a sucker draw for 95 percent of the young guys , almost as bad a being a "pro " fisherman . Go to college and play while you get an education .

I hate to say it, but baseball has been left behind, people want action. Watch someone spit 30 times in one inning just isnt entrainment anymore.

It's just wrong. Its an income for the town to many vendors and services providers and gets small towns engaged in baseball. I hope they hear the roar of the public resisting

This article doesn't say the cuts have started....it's not at all what it says.

This whole shrinking of MILB is a power play by MLB. Jeff Passan spoke about it at length last week on Le Betard show last week. Nothing will happen and it's largely MLB's usual corporate bs.

Baseball is one of the easiest sports to make it to a professional level just because of all the minor league teams.

I disagree . What percentage of minor league baseball players will ever reach the majors? Short answer; about 10% plus or minus 1/2%.
A mistake on your part does not constitute a emergency on my part.

No way.. and You can even add the Independent Leagues. Look at the Cape Cod League where the best College players go and play during the Summer and see how many of those guys sign professional contracts.
