    A few years ago,about this time of the year on Santee Coopers (Lake Marion),I saw a 6 to 7 lb bass thrashing around & I went over & scooped her up in me net.She had those pink sores all over her,so I took some photos & sent them to head biologist for the lakes.He told me that the sores were from stress.

    Looks similar to Largemouth Bass Virus. It wipes out the larger fish in waves.
