    Rod question

A buddy of mine is a side arm caster & is wanting something to fish jigs with. Needs to be 7 foot with a good backbone & pretty sensitive too. I’m thinking7’ heavy, but don’t know how that will work for a side arm caster. I use 7’6” rods myself so I don’t have a clue what to tell him to check out. I mentioned some lolmis rods & he said right quick that he wasn’t spending that much money so what would be decent in the 100 to 150 buck range?

I think either would work in that range. It depends on ho much power you are used to. They are both going to drive a hook just fine - the Promise will load up a little more on the cast at that weight and some folks prefer that.

It also depends on your trailer. If you have a large plastic, like a beaver, I'd bump to the Hammer 7. If you are hanging with a normal chunk... Promise 7 is going to be fine.
