    ROD/ REEL combo

    Good morning,

    Looking for some insight.

    Purchasing a Dobyns DX704 for jigs/ Texas rigs around docks. Probably using 15-17 fluoro.

    Would the Shimano Bantam balance well with this rod? Any other recommendations?

    Considering the smoking deal (use the BBC10 discount code) on the Daiwa Tatula SV TW at The Tackle Trap, it would be worth considering that one for your DX704 for closer quarters stuff. It pitches well, is very comfortable to fish, has a nice smooth, consistent drag and it is a skipping machine.
