My Kendas had a 44 psi rating...was good enough for Ranger to use as a factory tire. The Michelin’s will be fine at a 44 rating. The shop that mounted the Michelin’s confirmed the Kenda failed with a tread separation.

Ranger used it because It was cheap. Otherwise we would be replacing them with Kendas. 44 PSI is not enough for what we need.....at least in a Kenda. I hope in your Michelin you are good to go.

If Kendras are Chinese made then that might be the problem.

Kendas are made throughout SE Asia. They are a very large tire mfg.

you make a valid point..wish me luck with the Michelin’s. (I just assume Ranger did some sort of testing or analysis on the Kendas...probably a naive assumption)

That has been my personal experience with two different sets of Chinese made tires. I don't run them on anything.

My 2018 521L trailer came with Kendas. First trip to Texas from Missouri -- anything over 65 they vibrated like hell. Didn't see any weights. When I got home took to tire shop to have balanced. Had to dismount and dump out plastic beads and did spin balance. Still vibrate like hell over 65. New rig on order. Is ranger still installing Kendas?

Mine did the same, tire shop said they were junk with only about 800 miles. They had hi/lo spots.

My replacement Michelin Defenders are super smooth even into the mid 80's.

I bought my new 2019 Ranger Z520C in October 2019 and it came with Kenetica Loadstar tires ST215/65R17 made by Kenda. 102/98M M+S; Load Range C; Max 50psi cold. I've seen some vibration already but I'm not sure if it is from the roads (I-10, I-17, and state road 101) here in Phoenix, AZ. I see a little bouncing even on new road surfaces. I've been to the local lakes 6 times now so I'll keep my eye out on those tires.

Mike, to refresh my memory, your new tires are the Michelin Defender T+H 215/65R17 tires and not the Michelin Defender LTX M+S 225/65R17 tires?

Aren't the Michelins you guys are talking about passenger car tires? Isn't there a reason tires are specifically made for trailers? What am I missing here?

The stock tires weren't ST rated in the first place from the factory. Not in 17" anyway for my 19'.
