    Bypass Power Trim & Tilt Solenoid

    YAMAHA T50TLRA
    64J L 409882

    would like to bypass PT&T solenoid for troubleshooting ... Is it acceptable to connect 12v to the green & blue terminal posts w/o disconnecting the wiring from the relay (pictured below yamaha part # 6H1-81950-00-00)?

    I would disconnect them. Doesn't take but 10 seconds.

    Yes, absolutely positively disconnect the blue and green power feed wires from the relay assembly. Otherwise you might, repeat might, let smoke out of the relay assembly.

    As noted, it only takes a few seconds to disconnect the leads.
