I like Mini-Bulk spools, which are around 600-1,000 yards. I have a cardboard box in the garage with all the spools of line in it. Have not seen a problem with 20 year old copolymer. I've been using some fluorocarbon, but not enamored with it, and going back to more copolymer (and braid).

I's say buy small if you only fish a certain technique less than 20 times a year, otherwise buying bulk makes the most sense. I keep mine in shoeboxes.

I like bulk but I usually have a few 200yd spools hanging around. Leader mostly but you will usually find a 200yd spool of 20 and 12 in my boat should i blow up a reel

600 yard spools for fluoro and mono. Smaller spools for braid. It lasts me for literally years.

When I was fishing with a club, using all mono, everything was 2600 yd spools. Now, I'm using braid on about all my rigs, so I buy 300 yd spools.

1,000 yd spools of Red Label fluorocarbon. Easier than trying to estimate how to get two reels spooled out of a 200 yd spool.

I appreciate all of the replies. Do any of you store your line in a working frig?
