    here a couple pics of my sidescan does this look normal??

    Not the greatest, but many things left to be desired there: color pallete could be one of them. Is that number 1? If so, try 2, 6 or blue (I think 9)


    It’s not real horrible for that depth, shallower water tends to not be as good. But that inverse color, meh.

    I usually have it on blue but yesterday tried that one at that time but didn't like it either so went back to blue , most of my lakes I fish are not very deep so trying to get the best I can any suggestions would be appreciated . Next time out will take a few more pics thanks

    Randy,HDS 8 up front and HDS 10 on console LSS2 transducer 200 up front and 455 at the console

    At that depth, run it at 40' max and go for the Blue pallet. You'll see more targets on the bottom because of the shadows. The Blue pallet is great for that. You may want to reduce the contrast a tad as well.
    No one can be wrong that often so it has to be deliberate.

    Contrast looks to hot....when i had the LSS 2, i kept contrast on manual and around 62%....
    YOU are not entitled to what I have earned!!!!!

    This ^^^. Contrast is too hot.

    contrast to high, and change to 800 from 455. it will be darker but much clearer return.

    The other you might want to try is change your screen lay out. I find it better to have the side scan image as wide as possible on your screen. More room to view the image and details.

    Adjusting screen-layout to maximize both orientation and resolution helps a lot. Sidescan you want as wide as possible, while 2D, downscan and mapping you want as high as possible.


    I often adjust that setup even more so the sidescan is just a slim part of the screen.
