    December or March Dale Hollow. Pickwick is good too.

    Nickajack, below Chickamauga dam, in Chattanooga, TN down to the aquarium.
    December - February
    Just be careful going between the railroad bridge and the dam itself. Huge rock pile is barely covered up during power generation.

    +1. But I'd add that December thru March is a great time. I've always loved that lake but winter fishing on the hollow is about as much fun as you can have.

    norris lake also comes to mind especially in winter for great smallmouth action. its definitely producing better fish than it used to in the past. It is not a tva lake so fish bluffs and points with your typical smallmouth baits and you will usually do very well.

    sorry i meant its not a Tennessee river chain lake, but yes still tva lake sorry it came out the wrong way.

    I’ve done as well in the past between the Old Hickory dam and Nashville on the Cumberland as anywhere. The issue there is a safe place to leave the truck.
