Arkansas program is in the tubes...he couldn't make it any worse. They have turned into an embarrassment in the SEC. They in reality have no business playing teams in their own conference at this point, maybe some JC teams...but they'd probably disappoint us there too.

Word here around Fayetteville is that they are working out a few contract details with Lane Kiffin. Lots of names being floated but this one has the most steam.
If they hire Butch Davis I renounce my fan-ship. But, I'm sure they'll eff it up with someone out in left field.

I believe this is the truth. Don't believe the football program is salvageable at the SEC level and they ain't giving up that SEC money.
Its all salvageable, The University needs to get their heads out of their...... Quit having multiple coaches on the payroll as past coaches, and funnel their Money and Efforts into getting the Best coach That their money will buy. Without the football program the University loses a major financial stream. They should be looking at it this way. Football funds basically all the other sports.

Nebraska is in a similar situation as far as the program being allowed to turn into a dumpster fire. Frost just like who ever gets Arkansas has a lot of ingrained mediocrity to overcome. It might get done but it won't happen over night no matter who gets hired.
As an Arkansas fan, I would actually be ok with Nutt, not excited but ok. After calling for his head in 2007, those 7-5 and 8-4 seasons don't seem so bad now!!!! Not on the Butch Jones or Lane Kiffon band wagon, Lane is a cancer and Butch had his chance at a talent rich school and couldn't cut it. Bobby P is washed up after getting run off at Louisiville and is probably not hireable anyway after lying to his boss and putting his girlfriend on the University of Arkansas payroll
I hope they don’t hire Houston again. Great motivator but was always very predictable in his play calling. I don’t know who they will hire but I have confidence in our athletic director to hire the right coach. I think he hit a home run with the recent hire of our new basketball coach!

Well, some of our fans have Bob Stoops and Urban Meyer coming. The Kiffin thing seems to have some legs from several different sources. Our AD had him hired at Houston but the BOT overruled him.
Not just OU and Texas----Even Mighty Bama was a dumpster fire for several years. It can happen but not overnight.
