Strange request for trailer jack....90's Rangertrail

Looking for a trailer jack on an older 300 series trailer, the one mounted onto the frame in the front of the winch if anyone has the tube with the long gear on it and the wheel at the bottom and has replaced there jack with an aftermarket , I would like to take it off your hands if possible we can work something out....

I thought with all the older boats out there someone might have replaced there jack and kept some of the old parts worth a shot .

I would try Ranger parts. Last time i had jack problems they had everything except the rack. Everything else was available. Hope this helps.

I threw one in the trash about a month ago. Been laying in the garage for 10 years and NOW someone needs it.

Have you tried calling Shelby Industries? They were very helpful when the handle on mine broke and I needed a replacement. Sent it out to me for almost nothing IIRC.

FWIW, My jack's gears finally went so I took a cutoff tool and removed the factory jack. I still need to cover the hole in the trailer with some aluminum diamond plate but it's now an open flat surface to stand while playing with the winch strap and also my tailgate is safer now. Clamped one the side that has more travel height.

    Genius!

My trailer came to me with a gutted jack. Time to pull out the angle grinder and prep it for some plate.

Exactly what I did. I went down the road of trying to track down parts and it was all but impossible 3-4 years ago. Combine that with the fact that the factory jack wasn't all that heavy duty, and it wasn't worth it. Now there's a nice step on the tongue of my trailer, and a 1,500 lb Harbor Freight jack clamped just to the side. I thought about a nicer/more expensive one, but they break too, so I'll just replace the cheapie when it goes and be better off for it. It lifts my boat with a lot less complaining than the stock one did anyhow.
