    Size TM for your Bullet

Hey everyone what size you all have installed on your bullet? 24v or 36v.....I have talked to a few people and they are running a 24v....I am running lithiums in my current boat 3-50a and 1-125a. I fish 80+ tourneys a year.

I have always had the mind set of the biggest if you can get away with it and it has paid off big time as for the shaft it will be at least a 52" as I do fish off shore quite often.

I will be going with the Ultrex....Thanks for everyones response in advance.

Bullet recommends the 45 Ultrex on the 21 SDC and XRS boats, that is what I have, went with the 36 volt and Optima 31's. The Ghost motor is 47 inches, that is what I will be getting hopefully soon. And you do fish way too much

LOL, I will never have a 45 in TM, ever again...even if its given to me I would sell and get a 52in....don't like cavitating when fishing. Not going to do it.

I could be wrong but some boats sit differently in the water, that is why I asked Bullet which motor to use. I know a 45 is perfect for my Triton, have not had the Bullet out in the water enough to see how it does, I bet it does just fine.

Get a 52 inch shaft and 112 pounds. No, I wish I had gotten a bigger one, while out on the lake. If you have it you will
not need it, but if do not have it, you will need it. Do not ask me how I know this.

I have a 24/80/52 on my 21XDC. 24v is plenty for me. I know lots of people say 45" is enough but I'm glad I gave a 52. I don't like cavitating either. And sometimes I'll go fish out the back and leave front deck empty. I'm not sure that's doable with a 45 in heavy chop. There have been a few times when I'm pitching and flipping shallow that I wish I had a 45, but I'd go back to a 52 if I was buying again.

For sure get the 52'! As far as voltage.....I have never had an issue with my 24, but if I was buying new it would be a 36v.

I have fished a ton of tournaments from my 21XDC since 2003, I have never needed more than 80lbs and 24V... I use 2 big batteries, I never wanted to have 4 batts in my boat.

I'm running a 45" Fortrex 112... More than enough power, more than enough prop in the water when the going get rough. Didn't even think about a 24v system... Wish I did because I probably would have gone that route... Dan

I had a 45in shaft Fortrex for years and it sucked.... I fish big water and went to a 52 in shaft... Much better.

Barry Gross has a 45 on his boat, he carries a 52 for when he fishes the great lakes, good enough for me, i ain't fishing no great lakes. I guess it just depends on how and where you fish, not one time have I ever wished i had a 50 inch plus shaft.

I would go with a 36v 52” for what you do. If Buchanan gets nasty my motor can come out of the water it’s not bad but a 52 would do better.

The longer the boat, The longer that shaft needs to be in the tall waves... My 15in jackplate dont help either.

24v 82# with a 45” shaft. I have never had any situation where I felt a 36v or more thrust would be beneficial for where I fish. I will probably upgrade to an ultrex eventually and will go 24v again.

Thanks for all the responses guy, mind is made up 52" 36v 112. I run lithiums so weight is not an issue.

Question for those that have a 45" shaft....There are advantages to fishing into the wind as we all know, however there are times when that is not possible and one must fish with the wind and times that is advantageous as well. Most of you may not do this, but there are times when I want to fish the front of point, bank, brush line or what ever and fish shallow to deep and use spotlock and then go to the back of the boat. The nose of the boat will lift up much higher due to weight distribution and even much more when 2 people are in the back. If you have done this before, then you know what I am talking about. Cavitation is very bad when length of the Trolling motor shaft is not long enough.
