    '99 495 vs '02 395

    I have my eye on 2 different Chargers in my price range (limited). I have never been in one but hear good things about the ride.
    Would you lean more toward one than the other putting these 2 against each other? Are the layouts the same?
    Both are not close to my location so I have only seen pictures, and rust is present on both trailers. Are the Charger trailers historically bad (Skeeter comes to mind) or have they held up well over the years?

    If both boats are basically the same in condition; I would get the 495.

    I've had both..395 with a 225 Yamaha OX66 and I now have a 2004 496 with a 2008 225 F series 4 stroke Yamaha. Both are really good.The difference that i see is the length difference. If you fish docks a lot the 395 is a little shorter. Speed wise..About the same..If i could find a really nice 396 I would change to that...But like I said Both are really good boats..

    just keep in mind the 395-495 are totally different than the 6 series
