whats different between G2N and G3N? Can a G3N and G2N be linked and share info the same?? If both are SI units, waypoints and info can still be shared right?

They can share sonar data, GPS data, GPS, temp sensors, and Ethernet accessories via Ethernet.
The default 2D frequency for the G2's is Dual Beam 83/200 kHz.
The default 2D frequency for the G3's is HW CHIRP 140-240 kHz.
The G3's are SI+ = more power.
The G3's will support the upcoming MEGA 360, the G2's will not.
Both generations will support the current 360.
There are CHIRP models (Sonar), DI models with 2D and Down Imaging, and there are DI models with 2D, Down Imaging, and Side Imaging. All versions share everything listed in the first paragraph including sonar technologies to units that don't have it.

Will the G3 Chirp model (sonar) support the new Mega 360? I know you said above all G3’s will support the Mega 360 but I thought it had to be a Mega unit and the sonar only unit is not a Mega unit. Is that correct?
No! Needs to be a Mega + DI or SI
