Hey guys, I noticed I'm getting some bunk rash on my Falcon 195 with marine master trailer. It's a black bottomed hull so I'm wondering if it's the norm. I'll post a picture later. The rash isn't deep, as in if I run my fingernail across it doesn't catch (it's smooth). Was wondering if this was normal. I fish the rivers of NC which can get pretty muddy. The only reason why I'm slightly concerned is because the motor only has 8 hours on it.

I think all boats, especially the black hulls, show scratches or rub marks when the carpet gets grit or dirt on it. I use a black sharpie if it gets too egregious.
Unless it is blistering, just ignore it...perfectly normal.

Thanks all, i must've not dunked them before recovering or something. Love the boat so far.
Even if you dunk the bunks you're still going to get scratches.

A while back there was the same discussion in the Phoenix forum. It's just part of having a black hull. They all get it but you can see it more on the black hills. Even mine had it and I had gatorbaks. I didn't worry about it

I had 2005,06,07,08,09,11,13 Basscat all in black hulls never any rash at all. I have a 16 with black and hull rash. Don’t know why?
