    Wiring issue?

Ok I have a Stratos 21 ss extreme I just changed the switch plate covers on each side of my dash (to new), and now
if I have the motor running all is good, when I turn on the ACC switch so that the live wells work ie pumps etc.
the RPM gauge, Gas gauge and Trim gauge all go dead or all the way down to zero, and the battery drains quickly.

    Do I have a Pos/Neg joined together?

    Seems strange to me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thx in advance ............. PJ

Likely a bad ground or even a blown fuse in a lighting circuit. Check it out in the dark and see if any lights glow faintly. Tricky think to find.

Look at the accessory. If it is lighted, the only ground on it will be on the top of the switch (for rocker switches). remember, the only power leads on the switch will usually be two positive leads. Sounds like you're creating a short, especially to kill the battery.

Load terminal of acc switch is erroneously shorted to battery (-)....soon as acc switch is positioned to ON, it takes the supply (+) to 0 volts......should be blowing a fuse but t is not which also needs checked out.
