Transducer question
Im sure this has been asked, but I couldnt find an answer so Im asking. I recently purchased a echomap plus 93sv with livescope but without a regular transducer.
I will be mounting this up front and will mostly be used for livescope. I would however like to use the maps and clearvu but not the sideview.
I have sideview at the console and never use it up front, so my question is, can I get a transducer for the trolling motor that doesnt have sideview.
I really dont want to shell out $250-$300 for a sideview transsducer for something I'll never use.

I believe that you will want to look at the GT22HW or GT24UHD.....both of these have the regular sonar built in. On the GT22 it will give you 455/800 while the GT24 is only 840.

Thanks, looks like the gt22 is the better choice.
I just have to decide if I want to go that route, or buy a double mount and keep my lowrance hook2 and only use the 93sv for livescope.
I dont think there is room for 2 transducers on my ultrex.

Is the GT24UHD a better transducer than the GT22?
there is a $30 difference in price and the only other thing I could see different is one is 800khz and the GT22 is 455/800khz
I guess Im asking is there much of a difference in the clarity of the two?

The GT22 is what you want. The Plus units do not support the GT24.

Ok thanks I didnt know that.

The GT22 came today and I go to install all this and am a bit confused. The black box for the livescope has the big transducer cable plugged into it and a power cord that I routed to my batteries.
The GT 22 plugs into the back of the 93sv+. Im assuming I need to plug the power cable into the 93sv+ and run it to my batteries as well or is the black box powering it now and the only thing plugged into
the 93sv+ is the transducer cable from the GT22?

Both black box and head unit need power supplies

The GT22 transducer I ordered is a 8pin and the back of the 93sv+ is a 12 pin. I didnt have my unit yet when I ordered it so I didnt know that it had a 12 pin.
Anyways I called Garmin and the guy was super helpful and is sending me an adapter and Garmin covered the cost of it.
I do have to wait another 4-7 days for it, but I thought it was nice of the guy to send it to me at no charge.
