    Motor Question

    I have a 2014 Mercury Pro XS, 250 HP. I can get the serial number if needed. Yesterday, it ran fantastic until my trip back to the weigh in. I heard a warning buzzer before I hit the gas, but it went off quickly. It got out the hole fine, but would only run 4200 rpm wide open. It was "peeing" water, so that wasn't the problem. I figure the engine went into safe-mode for a reason. What should I check first? Other ideas?

    Your engine is covered in this forum, serial number is required (see the Announcements at top of the 3L forum) - Mercury - 3 Liter & 3 Liter High Performance
