waypoints Transfer

Hello I know this question has been asked alot but have tone of waypoints on my Lowrance and want to switch to Hummingbird can I move the waypoints over to the Birds?

I saved my Lowrance wpts in gpx format then imported them into my Solix.

Yes you can transfer them, but the process you need to follow depends on which HB unit you plan to import into. If it is a Solix, then do as Jig Man suggests: save as gpx from your Lowrance unit and import directly into your Solix. If it is a Helix, then you need to use HBPC. HBPC will import a Lowrance USR file (v4 or lower) or gpx file. When you import the file from your SD card into HBPC, the program converts it to gpx. You then export the file to your SD card and HBPC creates the necessary file structure required to then import it to your Helix.

So if you have the the newest lowrance units and the newest Helix units can you export from Lowrance and then move the sd card to to helix and import or do you have to go through HBPC?

You cannot export Lowrance data to a memory card and directly load it to a Humminbird Helix unit.

For a Helix to recognize the GPS data, it has to be in a MATRIX folder that HumminbirdPC creates or the Helix unit itself creates when exporting GPS data to a memory card.

thanks wayne I thought that was the way as well but just wanted to be sure. THat was the way of the 900 and 1100 series as that was what I used to have until I went to the Onix and then the solix....thank you.

The Helix models replaced the number series models===they have the same software.

The SOLIX replaced the ONIX===they have the same software.
