After isolating the part of the sweep, and after I go into standby. I have to re-establish the sweep isolation every time. Is there a way to set it to stay in the screen iso mode that I have set?

You can use a "hot button" to save and recall your preferred view.
I tried that, didn't hold. As soon as I put it in standby, and then woke it up, it was back to the original 360 view!

I have same issue and never found a way. I think I may have posted on here about it long time ago.
If I'm pulling up tm and moving a lot in a day, I just settle with putting it in "Front" view (this may not be as good as manually setting and hitting the check button) and setting the line to move "fast/course" If you hit the plus button it will zoon in times 2 or times 4.
You are likely wanting it to read the front 40 degrees of your tm like I do. It's just a matter if it's worth your time and trouble to manually reset that angle every time.
Here is my old thread on this.

Thanks for posting that Kev!
