Who do you go to for a spare ignition key for a 2001 Triton? It's a Mercury engine system but I am not sure if that matters.
The original key has a rubber shroud on it. If there is an identifying number, you can't see it.

Pop the cover off and get the number.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
nothing else matters.
Could also pull the ignition switch and get the numbers off of it. Then call a dealer and order replacement keys. Bought mine from Bass Pro.

hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that looks a lot like an OMC key.
Seeing as how this boat was owned by someone else for about11 years, it’s possible. Why someone would put an OMC ignition switch on a Mercury system, is beyond me. If I was going to the trouble of changing out that ignition switch, I would buy the right one. By the way, the Mercury that it starts is original equipment.Originally Posted by Jason Hale
