    Hydraulic steering install

Putting hydraulic steering on my 97 201, got the tilt helm with remote fill. Does the fitting with the hose for for filling have to stay on top when pump is installed? That fitting with is running into part of the dash, was wondering if it could be rotated 180 with it on bottom?20191110_165919.jpg

may look on their website under faq or the instruction manual
but that is the fill\vent so i will say you will have issues with
bleeding and air.Looks like you would only get it about 1/2 full.

I haven’t installed one like you are wanting to but I would think it will be hard to get the oil completed full and no air pocket because the air is gonna go to the top and if that hose is not gonna be able bleed the air out. That line is the one used to fill the system i would think.

Won’t matter, as long as you full with the bottle and hose up about 1 ft, bleed from the back. You really shouldn’t fill without cracking the bleeders anyway....
