    Hook 7 question

    I have hook 7. As I am going down the bank my depth will go to 0.5 when
    I am in much deeper water. If I scroll through the pages it will eventually go to proper depth. It shows the bottom just find. Showing up and down depths but the depth number does not match the graph.

    Instead of using auto try the 20' setting.

    Thanks for the suggestion. It is very puzzling that the graph shows the proper depth but the reading jumps from .5 to 10ft with out moving the boat. I disconnected all the plugs and made sure they were plugged in tight but it did not seem to help.

    Might this be a Hook2 and not a Hook? If so, changing the transducer to one with a more sensible coneangle will help a lot on correct depth when over sloping bottom.
