Primer Bulb not Priming - 94 Venom 200

My fuel primer bulb will not prime up, it just continually pumps fuel to the motor. My initial thought was the primer bulb check valve was bad, so I replaced bulb and the new one is doing the same thing. Opened cowling and cannot find any leaks what so ever. Motor seems to run fine. Any ideas what this could be and is it worth messing with?

I’m no outboard expert but I know with a automotive type carburetor it’s the float that lifts and shuts off the fuel filling the carb. If the float is sticking or even has developed a hole and won’t float the fuel won’t stop.

Its OEM Johnson / Evinrude, and arrow is pointing to motor.

Sounds if you are sucking air somewhere between the bulb and tank....

Make sure when you pump the bulb you are holding it vertical not horizontal.

I have heard of this, but not experienced it myself, with the OMC or BRP bulbs.
