Here is a quick break down.....There is the original Echomap Plus which had the g2 mapping and able to upgrade to g3 maps via website to an SD card......then the Echomap Plus w/g3 mapping came out.......as of the other week, there is the latest Echomap Plus UHD that came out which has the g3 mapping and UHD built into unit. So you will be seeing some the 2 earlier generations of Echomap Plus going on sale as the UHD hits the shelves.

The other Echomap Plus units will work with the UHD but you need the GCV 20 setup.

    So,what exactly are you wanting/needing????

For maps, the "93" models have the US lakevue maps while the "94" models have the bluechart (ocean) maps. So if you fish lakes I believe you would want a 93 version of either the plus or UHD model.
