    Minn Kota Fortrex 112

Guys twice now my trolling motor has gone out when putting it on 90-100%.
I can fish 30-40% all day and no problems. Move to high to go around docks or such
and bam... shuts off. First time don’t know what caused it. Second time breaker
was thrown. I have a 50amp breaker which I believe is big enough. I had a
101 on it and never had problem. Put this 112 on and seems like problem after problem.
    anyone had this issue?

    thanks

Those breakers can go bad. Try changing them. Mine would always pop if I ran on high speed for extended time. One day I changed them as a possible fix to another problem and havent blown one since.

I think you may need a bigger Breaker, I forgot exactly which one I have, but the guy i purchased my boat from a more of a gear head then i am, he tested it while it was drawing current and it was actually closer to 70AMPs if i'm correct, this is on a 80lb Ultrex too.

I bought a new 50amp today. All they had at dealer. I’m gunna go this week and test it. If that
doesnt work I’ll order a 60 amp. Fingers crossed

Ok. I verified. Both of my Breakers are 60AMP, helpful that helps.

joexiong, thanks. I looked the 60amp breakers up and thats how they look. I was confused on how they attach. I'll figure it out if i have to get 60's

As for as my NEW factory 2016 ZX225...less than a year!!! ...MK charger went out then MK foot pedal board went out ..(then rope broke 2x so I got G-cable)....
...replaced under warranty but shocked me after a flawless MK80 Fortrex for many trips on a smaller rig...
was told farming electronic boards to China means bad runs more common....
