    Talon Foot Control Battery Life

I just bought 2-12ft Talons for my boat. I got everything for them except the foot control. A friend of mine has one on his boat, but he says he has to always carry spare batteries for it. Im not sure if his are the BT version or not though. Is it normal to go through batteries quick?

I don't use my poles a ton, but I've had the same batteries in my foot controller for about 18 months and they are still kicking.

Are you using PP or Talons?

I have non bluetooth Talons. I bought them in the summer of 2105. Just a few weeks ago I changed the battery in my foot remote for the second time. In the past the both times I changed them it was still working but sometimes I would have to hit the button more than once to get them to react. I get about the same life span out of my key fob remotes. About two years would be a fair estimate. Batteries are not that expensive for the key fob and foot remote but they are different sizes.

If the Talon remote foot pedal is burning batteries it has a problem. It should be replaced. Check warranty.

Talons. Bluetooth versions. Installed last June. Still using original batteries.
