    Battery switch

Is this a 30 amp Buss Fuse a large enough breaker for my 2005 250 Etec and main power for my Ranger 621? My motor is drawing power while it sits and I just want to shut all power off when I'm not using it.

    Thoughts?

Your engine receives its power through the battery cables and you cannot fuse them easily due to the hundreds of amps needed for the initial starter rotation. Just install an ON-OFF or a 1-2-BOTH-OFF battery switch between the battery (batteries) and the engine.

I would research, installing these switches, before doing it.

What production year is your boat? All of the Rangers of recent years already have a main power switch. Is it possible that yours has such a switch and you aren’t aware of it?
