I think once you start using it you won't wanna stop. Not saying its the best. Im saying it opens another gateway to knowledge and understanding. I have used it in forward view many many hours and for the type of fishing I do, it is a very useful tool. I have also watched many video on competitors and while they have a bit more clarity and detail along with bottom lock, you still need to understand the images. Once you use it for a while and combine it with 2d and downscan, then the picture lights up and a more detailed world of understanding begins.

I finished installing mine last night. Will see what’s it all about this weekend. But I’m planning to use it more for crappie than Bass. If I didn’t like to crappie fish I probably wouldn’t have gotten it.

Until such time that you make up your mind, fit a HST-WSBL with the transom mount bracket on your trolling motor at 45° and change frequency to 83kHz.

It looks exactly like the 'fish noodles' you seen before looking straight down, just looking forward.

Thanks for posting John. You need to get yourself some livesight/livescope though.

I started using it in September and am convinced that I don't want to fish open water without it. I just got back from Hartwell and could sight fish suspended fish with it, interesting to see that most spotted bass suspend down around 15 feet over 30' of water, and I could get them to bite if there were 3 or more present, if not then it was a wasted cast. I did not take videos, but promise you that if you fish open water it will up your off shore game.

Try 83kHz on 2D for the same result
