    Christmas fishing on Jordan Lake

My wife and I will be traveling from Connecticut in late December to visit family in Apex for the holidays. Starting to ask around if it will be worth it to bring some rods with me to sneak out while down there. Looking to find a good local guide, preferably some one who actively tournament fishes the lake and not some one who will just bring me out with a bucket of shiners in a John boat. Would also be very open to the idea if there was an open on the lake to cover the cost of the by in to fish with you as a co angler for the day.
I try looking at the sate-light images of the lake and doesn’t appear to be much available bank fishing to be had there. Is this also correct?

I'd just spend time with my family, after all it is the Chrismas season.

not sure why you got such crappy help here...
you need to reach out to BBbill who is a local guide here and will either put you on the fish or hook you up with someone who can...

here is his handle if you want to reach out to him

Rondel41 asked a question, not how best to spend the holidays.
If he wants to go fishing, he needs to go.
There is a time, and place, for all things.

That was only 3 words of his question...I too travel out of town at holidays to visit in laws... there is plenty of downtime that they normally encourage me to get out of the house... if I were able to go bass fishing I would...
If a local guide tells him to save his money ... then so be it
