    Yamaha winterizing and service

That time of the year to winterize the boat. Picked up my boat this late spring and lost contact of seller. Motor is a 2005 Yamaha 300 hpdi and according to his print out it had 189 hours on it. I have put on probably 40 hours since. I’m bringing in the boat to an authorized Yamaha dealer to do winterization, compression, hour print out. Anything else I should have them look at? I recall original owner telling me my oil pump is already updated. He was showing it to me but at the time I was really new to this motor. No clue to if the motor has all filters replaced. Can't get a hold of previous owner anymore but he said it has been kept up to date with service. That's all I know.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I would replace the fuel filter(water separator) in the bilge. If it doesn't have one, have it added. For insurance, I would have all the filters replaced, including the basket filters. Probably the most important is to send the injectors out and have them cleaned/calibrated.
