LOL...whatever Mike. Glad you're the new expert at all this. I'm genuinely impressed.

I post real info to help show real world data on my BassCat and Merc 4-stroke and you and jump in from your Allison world and try to discredit my info & testing. Lots of us have new Eyra's running 80+ with box stock Fury 25's...with poles too. (btw...the back to back testing done in previous report was run Sunday morning 11/3/19 is 6200 rpm, Fury 3 24p at 80.0 with 2 way validation run) As Don Weed said several days ago to you...."I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you"

Plus...willing to bet my boats fish more tournaments over the last 5 years than yours. And...most of ours are 200+ boat tournaments too.

Do I need be in the boat when I get this while he's making the run?

Still not buying your running 80mph with a stock 24 even at 6200rpm. Even though your first claim was 6150. Granted a very stiff 25@ 6200 would be very close to 80mph but thats not what your report says-- you only turned it to 5980rpm.. It is your story so write it as you wish.

After reading your profile and your boastful rebuttals, I realize what were dealing with here.
    Good luck !

Looks like you need to take a trip to run with Fastcat and enjoy a day on the water. I really don’t think that 5% slip I unheard of with a lower pitch prop. He is also running a TM lower and the fury runs deep in clean water. I have called one person out on this forum and he lived fairly close. His boat did exactly what he said it would when we took a ride.
Not being passed yet....... I have not been passed neither. I will happen one day but the average boat will not touch mine. Allison, Stroker and some Bullets will eat my lunch. No worries though... we all play with what we got.

Thanks Elwood ! Those that know me will know that we've been trying for years to break 80.0. My previous Eyra with a 2-stroke would top at 79.8 regardless of my testing, drivers (even had Jason Brewer and Mayo drive it). This new one with the 4-stroke is quicker. As mentioned I just have 3 props. 2 just came out of the box last month (24p and 25p Fury 3's) and my 26 Fury 3 was de-pitched and worked by Ronnie Gilbert last year to try and get more out of the Opti. For that boat it needed something between a 25 & 26. The mods really helped the holeshot, the lift and slightly helped top end.

Quick note: see pic in my test post. Note the 35psi water pressure. Yes, the Fury was buried deep !!!

As for being passed...that's 100% true. But don't get me wrong, I know an 80mph cat isn't the fastest thing on the water. The Bullets and Allisons we fish with would run away if they ever had clean water. But in reality that just doesn't happen in a typical big tournament. Last year 4 Bullet guys got together and said they'd be past us within 3 miles from takeoff. 5 miles later as I video'd from a bridge, my son was way out front. As mentioned, ours is a fully loaded tournament boat and the only thing missing was ice in the cooler and a 2nd person for our 80mph runs. But 78.5 isn't bad for all off the shelf product with all our equipment and 2 people.

We drove a Cougar & Puma with dual poles at the BassCat dealer show back in July in Branson, MO. Both hit 79 with 2 of us in the boat and big big chop. Totally impressed with the BassCat 20' line up and the Merc v8's. Probably helps that BassCat was the boat Merc did it's ProXS testing with !!!

You do have a way at dodging and twisting things away from the original topic. Normally associated with trying to cover up the facts. Thought I was through until you edited your post.
Just so everyone knows the comment from Don was about a different issue on a different thread of which he soon apologized.
Yes the speed recall is nice-- 80.6 was NOT the speed you did with a 24 according to your report and it does not show rpm's.. which was my point about you not being a witness...
You very well may have fished more tournaments in the last 5 years as I have slowed way down and only fish one circuit and a few opens. but I doubt you will ever come close to fishing as many as I have since the 90's. This year made my 23 consecutive championship on a circuit that gives away a new Ranger every year.
Anyway enough of this BS---- When you can prove without trickery the original post I questioned--
"Installed box stock 24p Fury-3....runs 80 @6150 in mid 80 degree temps". I'll come back and eat crow.
    Good luck !

not sure on the accuracy of this but in my sabre ftd i have seen 64-65 on gps at 6000 rpm on gps which on a 150 pro xs lands me somewhere around 0.84-2.36% slip with a 24p fury and i am seeing 64 now with my bravo 1 xs 26p landing me at 6.76% at 5800 rpm and still tweaking the setup to and get it to behave past 5800.. from what i understand though are stiff so i think the slippage is slighty more. i know its not an eyra but figured i would chime in

I had the same questions when I posted a video of going 0-80 in about 30.5 seconds with a 26 T2.

    0-80 in my 2018 Eyra/SHO 250

Not sure if the video still works but I can send it to someone if they would like to post it.....

Just the general questioning of the boat actually being able to do it in that amount of time and doing over 80 with a full tournament load with a 26 pitch prop. The video was just a way to prove it. The Eyra is actually a pretty incredible boat.

No one is denying that the Eyra is an incredible boat... Running 80 with a good 26 pitch is not that questionable and anyone familiar with a SHO will know how strong they pull.
Now running 100mph in less than 30 is special.

River Rocket has his shat dialed in!!!!!! 0-100 in 26 sec is very special. I have communicated with him a few times and will lean on his experience with the 300R. The 300R is a monster and I just have a few more weeks until I am breaking one in. The Cat will never do that but I will try my best to make BCB proud......

It's amazing what Geoff has done and he is very helpful. I would still be way behind with my new rig if not for his help.
I figure Allison and Merc racing should put him on the payroll.
