My opinion: That Jaguar was a pre runner to the Puma/Cougar 20' boats and he's a little high on the boat. The low hours on the motor sounds good, but with a boat of this age could indicate some motor general maintenance needs to be done since the motor hasn't been used much.

Nice boat, but agree the price is a bit too high.
I had one of those with a 250XS Racing Optimax. It was quite the rocket. I had it back when my reflexes were better than there are now and could drive it to 80.
This one has the deck insert as well.
I remember the first time I felt it "lift" (previous was a 520VX Ranger) out of the water. That was a new experience for me.

Fine machine. I had a 98 that I sold for quite a bit less and was totally updated. New BCB carpet, decals, BCB bucket seats, steering wheel and center carpeted step..etc.
That will make someone an awesome starter 20 foot rig. Mine ran well and was great in the rough stuff.

He doesn’t want this boat to sell! Beautiful and well taken care of but it’s priced 5-7k too high.

    Bbbbbut honey it’s For Sale!

While it looks nice, be prepared to throw down some money on that one. Anybody notice the tires? Wanna bet that those are the original 2002 Firestone Firehawk ss 20s? especially since they haven't been used on these trailers in at least the last 10-12 + years. Firestone quit making them.
Trolling motor looks to be original as well. He pulled the center seat for a carpet box lid, keeping the rest of the bench. Getting by with budget updates when possible. The only big upgrade was the dash conversion.
Coupled with an OX 66 engine, best offer would be $15k imho.
That said, it looks in good shape.

My engine had more hours but sold for 12k four years ago. But the updates I made were not cheap. I updated everything from the bucket seats, to new lean to seats, decals, steering wheel, ratcheting straps, tires, electronics, new BCB bunks, rollers, windshields, and a lot more. Updating makes the boat more enjoyable for the owner, but really gains nothing in value when selling except for cosmetic appeal.
Unless they have cash available to purchase, financing an older boat can be tough.
