    Re-carpeting Bunks Question

When re-carpeting bunks is the new carpet simply wrapped tight with stainless staples used on the bottom of the bunk? Or is there need for adhesive as well such is used when replacing carpet on the deck of the boat. Thanks

I've always used staples. I don't recall seeing any with glue on the bunk boards. I have seen some side boards that had carpet glued on.

I use 3M spray contact cement. It helps to hold the carpet in place while you staple.

Nope...sometimes may leave an eraser mark but it wipes off. Carpet with sand scratches the boat though.

Kevin I don't think your going to find a synthetic board that will hold the weight. I use KDAT lumber and paint it to match the boat.
