For an emergency situation, we know that you are going to do what you need to do to get back home. So yes- used PROPERLY, either "could" work.
My concern with the wired in jump-starting feature is what you do AFTER you start the engine. The alternator is designed to maintain ONE battery, and the system should never, not even for a split second be run without a fully-charged battery in place. Remember- ALL of these are DIGITAL THROTTLE AND SHIFT (even the mechanical control) Engines.
Don't operate the battery switch while the engine is running- as most switches have a contact break that results in a loss of connection as you move from one position to another.
If I had my choice (aside from a fully-charged, properly rated battery which is by FAR the best and correct choice), I'd have a well rated Jump Pack that I kept on board, or simply a set of jumper cables to run to another battery. Those can be disconnected without total loss of connection to the primary starting battery.
Also note: None of the above is intended to REPLACE the cranking battery. If the cranking battery is totally dead, STOP AND ADDRESS THAT.
If you would, please take a moment to review the Announcements at the top of the Forum, and be sure to provide the Required Info when posting. Thanks!

Thank you Don !....I didn’t post any info “ because the motor is on order ‘for a repower!, I am just trying to get all my ducks in a row” ! before it shows up ! I would never use my “Tournement Saver pro”, jumpstarter’ unless I absolutely had too ! I run a Northstar grp 31 agm battery , & can run electronics all day with no problems!..
