Kind of confusing to me. According to this link, it looks like only the trademark name chatterbait is protected forever and it looks like the utility part is only for 14 years. Not sure what the 20 year thing is.

They say 20 years but I believe that includes the time for the filing/ approval process . I think the 14 years is the effective life of a patent after it's finally granted .
