    Is Garmin warranty transferable?

Such as fish finders, trolling motors. Thanks!

Why would it be? They don't know how you treated your equipment.

I don't understand, why have an expectation of garmin to warranty a unit that was not the original owner? If you sold a tv, would you expect samsung to warranty a tv that could have been sold twice in a 2 yr period?

    >To obtain warranty service, an original or copy of the sales receipt from the original retailer is required.
According to the official website. But as been already said, you might call them and ask for clarification.

Yes, warranty is transferable if device is still within the warranty period and the new owner has the receipt from the original purchase.

What does it matter if it was sold? They warrant the TV, in this case, for 2 years. 2 years is 2 years, why does number of owners matter? They are warranting the product not the owner.

So if you let your dog pee on it and then sold it they should have to warranty it?? Folks expect way to much for nothing now.........

They wouldn't cover the warranty for the original owner if it was due to negligence either. Again, if the OEM has the faith in their product to warrant it for XX years, what does it matter who had possession of it in that time frame?
