    Question AVX 1980 Evinrude motor height NON Jack plate

    Thinking that my motor may be sitting too low on the transom. Curious to know where others have their motors mounted. Mine is in the second from the top hole. Whenever I'm coming off a lower RPM or coming off plane the whole motor is almost swamped with water. I've even tried goosing it a little bit after coming down in speed to outrun the wave but that doesn't help. Also just moving right around 2000 RPM's causes the motor to seem like it's about to be drowned.
